Hope this is an easy question for WGT players with more familiarity with the nuances of the WGT website. There's times while playing the game, I hear a descending chime sound.

Does that mean someone is sending me an invitation to play a match? Nothing on my screen highlights itself as where to click to respond. How do I respond? Thanks.

Could be friends logging in or out. There's a chime/ding type sound for that. Under options, slide the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th volume bars all the way to the left. You should only hear your game play (balls hit, cup, etc).

If you're playing with others, the chat box might make a sound. And, friend, game and CC invites will constantly make that noise, too. But, with the 3 sound-sliders off, you won't hear any of those sounds, either.

I have never played this game with the sound on. On the odd occasion I have heard that annoying WGT theme tune, I hit that mute button faster than Icon can type. Have you tried clearing your cache.

Its usually because either one of your friends have logged on or leaving. In a game it also could be the someone is talking to you. It also could be someone has invited you to play a game. Youmay try going into the menu box click on game settings, then select audio and turn invitation alerts to off. Or you can just mute all sounds
