With me it is not so much how much ram I have left, as much as it is how much the uses. When my ram usage starts to get close to 800 meg on the game client my meter starts having seizures!

Thanks for the tip with the memory fox, I have not played enough to know if it is really helping or not!

memory leak is still a horrible problem. Always a Gig or more after nine holes. Two days ago it was over a Gig after 7. Very frustrating.

you can set it to clean your memory every 5 min if you want. I use it with WGT and it runs constantly when my computer starts up (set this in the options) and it is perfectly safe from any viruses...read about it, how it works  and I have no more memory leak problem   stays at 350-400 mb  ...smooth meter. good dots...good luck!    you can even do it manually anytime without any interruptions in your game. Takes 1 click..Watch your task manager running processes with WGT running It will be the one with the most memory usage. Watch it go down after you play a few holes.

    some comments :

    • this is the software to install and forget about....must have

    • i have years using clean mem, its great

    • it simply works..............................set it and forget about it, and it's free, no nag screens.

    • cleanmem is awesome. It just sits in your tray and keeps you ram-happy forever. Particular good for tab-a-holics. The free version is a must-have now on all of the slow machines I fix.

Thanks for the potential tip.  Anyone else using CleanMem to help?

I know nearly every trick in the book to improve performance, and yet this past week and more particularly this weekend have been horrendous.  For my win7 system, Comodo IceDragon has worked best, but its barely passable some days.  Bailed on 5 rounds today as I could no longer handle guessing whether the meter would stutter or what the hell speed it would run at.  I am usually not far off the ding, and I was all over the place, including hitting an 80 yard 3 wood as the meter stopped cold.  Surprised the ball went anywhere the strike was so far off.  Putting suffers big time as well with the inconsistency of the meter.

Acknowledged that some days I just suck, but 75-80% of the time I play pretty well.    It is not my system as I run an i7 processor, 8g ram and a fast videocard with win7 - all my other resource hogs run well, further I only have the browser open when I play WGT.  Final comment is I've noted the game still has issues at times even when the browser and flash are not significantly sucking resources.

As this point, I am no longer spending any actual $$ on WGT until things improve.  Will stick to free credits and play a round or 2 daily, but my patience is wearing thin.

I see plenty of good scores are still being posted, so something must be working.  Appreciate any updates from anyone as to what is/is not working.
