Whiteouts here are getting a bit beyond a joke.
About time WGT updated their flash, tried another browser and if that does not work try another server. If none of that works get a decent programmer working on a half decent server, and finally do something useful. Leave new ideas to discuss new clapping noises....
I seriously doubt WGT is doing anything related to Flash period. Why would they? Not unless they have an 'end of life' scenario built in for the game and are fine with limping along til then.
What they should be doing if they want to continue on, say past maybe another year or so, is either port to HTML5 or go Unity. Flash(games) is very easy to port to HTML5, there will some aspect that will need to be reworked no doubt, but the Flash portion of the game shouldn't be an issue.
Unity is a bad bad choice for web deployment, it's not a very good tool for that, and even worse for mobile platforms. Perhaps U5 sees some advancements in that area, but 4 is not a very good option.
I think it's pretty obvious that WGT has issues as a place to work, with respect to game development. I suspect that either their compensation package is horrid or the working environment is, or perhaps both. Whichever is the case, it's pretty clear they can't attract or keep talented programmers/dev people. I know that if they pass along the same level of revenue generation and greed culture to the people working on the game, well... No wonder there's a revolving door.
I also don't think there are many people who actually work on this game, the golf side of things, I'm willing to bet there are like two people, three max. Whatever the case it's obvious it's not working out very well for them. This game in all aspects is a mess, gone from pretty good three years ago to totally broken and damn near unplayable for most, excluding Apex, who seems to be piped directly right into the main server running next-rev versions of the game.
They should change the Beta tag back to Alpha cuz - ya......
There is no repairing Flash, no update they can do on their end that will fix anything. Moving to a more reliable content deployment company would probably help immensely as mentioned somewhere on here, because as most people with even a basic understanding of how games and gaming works with respect to web-fed games know - It's not on your end.
