Remember this is a web based sport...we play the game our system lets us play.  Try turning off anything you don't need in the game Settings/Options and lower the Flash Quality.  Make a practice swing before each shot to gauge the meter speed.  Use the same type of clubs throughout your bag...like all Starter clubs which have the same meter speed.  That alone will help with consistency so you are not constantly having to adjust for different meter speeds every time you switch clubs.

One of our best players recently stated: "There are no shortcuts on WGT to become a great player, it really is just through trial and error, developing experience in all scenarios (wasting a lot of time)."  You will understand what he meant by that as time goes by...until then, be patient.  I've been here a long time and learn something new every time I play.  You can find a lot of useful information in these Forums and the Getting Started and FAQs information over there----->

I changed my windows 7 to basic to allow better ram/cpu performance, never run anything else while Im playing except gamebooster 2 as this shuts down any non essential background programs. I also do registry/cache/disc clean ups and defrag my pc every week, I also reset my router every week as that can get cluttered up with crap. Ive checked my internet speed and its the same as always 10-16 mbs.

Ive had a week of almost perfect meter performance, however the last 2 days have been terrible. Almost unplayable and Ive also been disconnected 3 times while Ive  been in games. So while Ive been disconnected from wgt I can connect to any other site with no problems. So if youve done all what Ive said it has to be on the wgt side of things but dont expect a response from a wgt admin, theyre just interested in added more advertisements and updates that cost money!!!!!!!!

Dont be fobbed off with the 'clear your internet cache/temp files etc option that everybody seems to suggest, this is good for decluttering your pc but most of the time its on the servers side thats the problem.

I am trying to play the week 4 multi round tournament and the meter is frozen. My choices are limited to keep signing off and on with the hope it will work or forfeit the tournament. It is ridiculous that I can not save the game and try playing something else.
