I know this was mentioned many times when this was 1 ST introduced and if I remember correctly, the response was: "There are no plans to add smaller brackets at this time"

Why not? and is there a new response I may not be aware of?

It would be a great idea at least for Country Club events, this could be a great perk when leveling up your club!

If you can create 9 hole rounds it seems to me making smaller brackets available is not that difficult just illuminate the 1ST round of a 16 player bracket and you are done!

I would settle for Eight player brackets and four player would also be nice at least for country club events.

    32's & 64's would be good too.

Agree with both, an extended version of the usual 16 players will be much appreciated by the CC owner for sure. Imagine the chance to set up a quarter final table after a long internal championship, it could be great for sure and this only an option, I'm not a guru but I think that WGT can handle a low and a high numbers of players without any specific issue, and by the why Icon left a door open.

Hope it will be done as soon as possible.

If you read the FAQ's on brackets it doesn't mention a specific number of entrants so I assumed these changes would occur one day.

One day, hope it come faster than the usual WGT timing.

The only change that is required for this change is only to leave free the choice for set the number of rounds, thus the number of participants and always based on the current settings. More tours for players means more money for WGT but It seems hard to be interpreted or listened.

Nothing smaller coming.  Possibly 32 and 64 ones but right now no plans to make the changes.

Whilst I appreciate your honesty, once again the smaller CC's miss out on this format.

Therefore it does not surprise me larger brackets as this equates to more players playing but once again short sighted as I am sure smaller clubs would utilise this format.

Why not take a survey and sent an email to all club owners asking what change would prefer, if down then 3 rounds of 12 or 2 round of 8 or multiples of 16 players. Sometimes WGT make choices about its beliefs but not always they come to be winning choices.

As Alan wrote, smaller clubs miss out a benefit (probably).
