JN6 tour was a blast, could actually play the same courses that P.G.A. tour played on a yearly basis. Great entertainment for the long cold winters in Northern Canada. Good people always ready to give sound advice. As soon as EA. got hold of the game from Hypnos,http://www.goldenbearsden.com/Bunker_WEB/Patch_Files.html they sold us down the river and joined the console crowd,  Courses were created by many talented souls ,such as Silvernail, Snuffy Smith, eventually Origin folded their EA golf program. Voila WGT pay to play format. Any other JN6 players on board and would like to reminisce, send a retort. thank's for your time. Later

You made me go play a round at Merion on JN6. LOL  I still muck about with the game, do some design stuff just to kill time.

My favorite designs were done by Mark Willet and Brian Silvernail.  Silvernail created playable art in his courses. Gene Rodriguez did some super courses too.

At one time I had a huge collection of many hundreds of courses. (Probably still here some place, but all on floppy disks.) That was before easy internet, when it took hours to download a course.  I remember sending floppy disks filled with copies of courses I had downloaded to people all over the country, even sent one to France.

I even uploaded two of my own designs, Coles Mill and Adirondack Preserve.  They aren't in the same class with the "pros" but even they required around 400 hours each of design time.

JN6 was/is one of the best. If they gave it a graphics upgrade and kept the gameplay it would still be superior to anything else around.

    Dave

Thank you Dave for responding, Jack Nicklaus page with Snuffy as sysop has al the latest courses, however unless you have a former name and password, which i have misplaced you can't get past main page. I will check out Coles Mill and Adirondack Preserve over the long winter months here.

Here's hoping that sometime in the future with Virtual Reality we'll be able to play all past gems with improved graphics. Congratulations in attaining your level, i will probably reach that in another ten years when i'm eighty, lol. Take care and happy Thanksgiving.
