Instead of either forcing me to buy the same type of ball that I was using, or using starter balls, please allow us to switch to any balls that we have in our bag.

From time to time I try out a new type of ball just to see if I like it, so I have several different sleeves of balls.  If It's a ball that I don't particularly like all that much, I will play out the sleeve so I am not wasting credits.  Inevitably I will run out of that ball mid game, and will have to switch to a starter ball(since I don't want to pay for another sleeve of a ball that I don't want to use).  This screws up my score on that round, as obviously the starter ball is inferior to the ball that I was using.

Should be a pretty simple fix to an annoying problem.

Although you may have several types of balls they arent all in your bag when playing .There have been hundreds of threads on this . The rule is that you have to finish the round with the same ball brand that you started with . If you start with Cally 33+ you have to finish with Cally 33+ or play with the rock .

All of the other balls which you have although they are in your inventory , they are not in your bag . Whatever brand or type of ball that you equip your bag with is what you have and that is all that you have .During the game those balls dont exist so you cant play them.

My suggestion would be to find a ball that you like and stick with it .Stock up say four sleeves (4) and never let yourself get below three (3) sleeves before buying more  By doing this you will never run out of balls ...

The other balls you have in your inventory are not in the bag.

We can only equip (drag and drop) 1 make/model of ball to our bag before we start a round.

There is no rule of golf that says you have to finish a round with the same make/model of ball that you started with

There is Local Rules; Condition of the Competition known as the One Ball Condition that a tournament committee can invoke that requires a player use only 1 make/model of ball of the players choice during a round. See the Rules of Golf Appendix I, Part C, 1., c.

    c. One Ball Condition

If it is desired to prohibit changing brands and models of golf balls during a stipulated round, the following condition is recommended:

"Limitation on Balls Used During Round: (Note to Rule 5-1)

    (i) "One Ball" Condition

During a stipulated round, the balls a player plays must be of the same brand and model as detailed by a single entry on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls.

So the One Ball Condition is an optional rule, which allows WGT to choose to enforce it or not.  At any rate in WGT you actually have 2 balls in your bag.  You have the ball you start with, AND the WGT Starter ball.

The thing is, that by allowing you to choose a new ball when you run out will actually increase the amount of money that people spend in WGT.

Custom balls have a certain number of hits, every hit that they take is moving them towards buying a new ball.  Each hit on a WGT Starter ball is free.

So not only is it annoying, it actually makes bad business sense.

Not so long ago you didn't have the option to buy balls mid round and you got no reminders that you were getting low.

Yes ....and why I would rather see players disqualified.....once bitten twice shy. Of course they would never do this to paying customers.

To the contrary as I think most players will purchase rather than play with the rock. The one thing WGT do well is their sums....if it was bad business sense monetary wise, they would have changed.

I agree it is not good  for long term relations, but WGT act like a fly-by-night outfit - make money when you can.

Dime a dozen these threads, and for many years, so it will not change.
