If you hit anything other than driver to hit the fairway WGT doesn't count it as a Fairway Hit.

Even better, if you putt with anything other than your putter it doesn't count as a putt.  Great for putting stats.  I played 4 holes t'other day and putted with my driver (you have to punch it for those that don't know).  4 putts and holed out each time too.  Looked at my putting stats - 0 (zero) putts for 0 (zero) feet!

I wonder if it affected my driving stats?  Well, who cares, it was fun.  And from 12ft in (that's the longest putt I had) I think it is more forgiving; you can miss the ding and still hit it on line.

From one of those who did not know, that was hilarious!

    Switz71:

Mr.Zag  was giving correct info and at least trying to be helpful. Nivlac I believe, created a very helpful and informative putting tootorial (thanks Yancy lol). To my knowledge, this method only works with the putter.

    • With the 15 foot putter, it moves 3 times.   (5 feet per movement)
    • With the 30 foot putter, it moves 5 times.   (6 feet per movement)
    • With the 45 foot putter, it moves 5 times.   (9 feet per movement)
    • With the 90 foot putter, it moves 7 times.   (12.5 feet per movement)
    • With the 150 foot putter, it moves 9 times. (16.5 feet per movement)
    • With the 300 foot putter, it moves 9 times.  (33.5 feet per movement)

Switz - not saying you are wrong, but are you sure about these figures?  The reason I ask is that I reckon there are only 2 movements on the 15ft putter (for the TaylorMade Daytona Rossa putter).  In fact, the 2nd movement is a little short of the full 15ft.  In my opinion 15ft is actually 2.5 movements, therefore making it 6ft per movement.  I must admit, I never use the movements except for 6ft and 12ft on the 30ft putter; for all other putts it is just eye coordination and/or percentage.

There are folks out there who have analyzed each of the various putters and broken down the avatar movements for each stated putting range - probably somewhere in the forums. (Me, I just eyeball it by the percentage of the power bar and figure the avatar will move more or less where I tell the fella to go.)

My apologies fellas, I should've clarified the butter a little better. Them figures were for my flatstick and such (lvl 40ish Redwood). I'm unsure of the movements of the Daytona as I haven't had the pleasure of hittin one and I mine doesn't have the 60 foot devil.

I guess I should also say, them figures are a touch on the Daly side as I tend to try & power through the breaks, simply because I'm terrible at reading them.

Your were spot on with your figures Switz. The Daytona has the 60 range (15,30,60,90 etc) , but doesn't have the 45. I don't use the movements in the 15 range, but use em with all the others. Since I started using the Putter movements for distance, I'm pretty deadly on the greens. So it does help with judging distances.

Interesting, looks like if you use another club on the tee, the game must think your on a Par3 and if you use you driver on the green...lol.. the game must think your not putting. I haven't really noticed this one, but if you Putt on the Fringe does it count as a putt?

Zag, sorry to disagree with you.  Where you are right that the power drops off, it is suppose to because your backswing is reduced.  I guess I should have used another club as an example.  I guess the point that I was making was...in full swing mode, all clubs except the putter, pitch, chip, etc, has 19 movements.  Divide 19 into the listed distance and that tells you how much power each movement has.

All I ask is try it to see if it works for you.  I just got tired to "eye-balling" and/or guessing.  Has made a difference for me.
