I am writing to express my wanting of an issue to be addressed and hopefully taken care of. I regularly have 86%-100% driving accuracy, yet I have seen my average steadily drop. I just recently finished Back9 at St. Andrews, where I hit all but one fairway. All of the fairways hit were illustrated on the card, yet my % was 75%.

I have questioned this with WGT. They instructed me to post here...so I am. To all how even care....lol, You do not receive a hit fairway when you tee off on Par 4's and 5's with anything except your driver. I regularly use my 3wood on St. Andrews to avoid rough on 7th, and that pesky little stream (the ball eater....lol) on 1st...when presented with a significant tialwind.

This is not of major importance I know, but I am addressing this issue here as instructed.

If anything can be done to resolve this, it would greatly appreciated. I will now go back and try to get my % back up to the respectable level which I was at....lol

    Thanks for your time,

    wjj8

I can't understand why people even look up these figures, let alone worry about them. Why not just play golf and have fun?

Does this game make you a millionaire, get you thousands of adoring fans, get you prime time on sports news? No.... do you know why? Cos it's a game! It's a game for passing the time and having a laugh. If you want to argue about stats go out in the fresh air and have a real game of golf,

There are some quirks to the stats, but ultimately the game is about making a good score, not how you got there.

Strange that a fairway would count only if you hit a driver. I guess it would be too easy if you could hit an iron every time to land somewhere at the back of the fairway - but again, no one should get too worked up about these stats.

Will knowing your last scores improve your next ones?

YES, but how often do you look at them? How many times does one check their stats after a game to see how well they have done? I do, and I am quite sure that many others do as well.

For the most part, I am only playing against myself and these stats give me feedback. I strive to improve them as I grow in this game. To me it is important.

This guy asks a simple question, he is not crying or bitching that OH, WGT sucks like so many other tiresome threads, he is not even saying WTF. A simple question is asked and he gets "pissed" on.

I had hoped that the members residing here had more manners!

Pissforbrains, I would suggest to you that in any future forum threads, that if you do not have anything positive, substantial, relevant or other than just to hear yourself, shut the FU#* up!!

wjj8, I can only speak for myself, the stats count and should be correct.

    Have a nice day.

The only stats that I look at and try to improve are my greens in regulation , sand saves and scrambling. Improving those 3 will make you a much better player. The more greens hit and the more par saves you have the better your scores are going to be.

I was just giving my opinion. You talk of manners and yet you swear at me and call me names. Strange.
