Ones that some of us actually might want to take part in.  The current set up is an utter joke but for some reason this particular joke is now being wheeled out every weekend.

The problems I see with events are:

The prizes are stupid.  A golden putter for feck's sake, what a load of nonsense that is.  Custom tee markers.  And these enhance our WGT experience in some way?  As far as I know, they may be responsible for making flags invisible on some courses.  So, rather a negative prize there.  And some passes.  No need to say anything about that.

The individual clashes are very unfair.  You have clubs with 10 members against ones with 250.  How are opponents actually chosen?  Is the potential number of members a club can have the factor rather than how many members they actually have?  You did make things fairer when a low score became more valuable than a high one, high five for that.  Well, high 3 at least.  I'm sure many would think a single raised digit is enough.

This is of course just my opinion but I think you would make many friends if you would make a few changes.

Sort out the scoring to make it fair.  Only count the first 25 scores posted by a club.  And pit clubs with a similar number of members against each other.  The number of scores that count could vary according to the number of members.  And then award a set number of points for a win, not the number of points scored during individual clashes.

Give us prizes we may actually want.  Credits perhaps, either awarded according to the points won by individual members of a club or to be awarded at the discretion of the owner.  Forget stupid tee markers and gilded turds on sticks.

I know you sometimes do listen to us and make changes we ask for.  Surely there have been enough complaints about events to make you realise they could be done better.

Please WGT, open your eyes.  Events are despised by the majority of us, do something about them.

    Who are you talking to?

Forum users have voiced these arguments 1,000 times without being heard. The only thing that happens is more Events!

I may be repeating myself, but They are WGT, hope is futile! We can't change the company - the change must be in ourselves.

Play the game for fun, not as a grind. No fun, no play.

Seek some fun inside your CC from the Events or don't play them.

Open the site as long as it's fun. If not, vote with your feetmouse.

What are the flags and tee markers even for? I don't know how to find them or how to use them, and searching instructions or even these forums has been a time waster.

If anyone knows what to do with tee markers and/or flags we "win" from CC events, please let me know.

    Thanks.

Long time since won any, and none in my current CC - fine with that LOL

From memory you can select use them when you set up a tourney (same list as can choose a CC flag now).  Everyone can get to stand beside a gnome dressed as a pumpkin - thrilling :)

As for ideas yes so many good ideas, but zero interest from the company making skill any meaningful part of it.

Why not double the cost of passes, and make actually playing illegal (well banging around as quick as possible usually but they still call it playing for some reason). This way people could spend all their time outbidding each other, and thus cut to the bit many must just enjoy, and the "comp" would this be pure.......Seriously though so many good ideas, but still the dross is the only one they pump out.

As for how many fingers towards a high five for the current set up ? I will stay polite:)

    This!

Precondition 1: You must be in a CC,

precondition 2: This CC must have become 25th or better in a Clash Event - these unhappy CCs win those fancy tee and flag designs:

+ gnomes, pumpkins and a Christmas tree etc.

Problem is, most of them are rather ridiculous as a pair on the tees, you can hardly see the pics on the flags without wind, and a programming flaw may let the custom flags disappear completely - really nice!

I am happy that we never came even close to such "gift"!
