Ones that some of us actually might want to take part in. The current set up is an utter joke but for some reason this particular joke is now being wheeled out every weekend.
The problems I see with events are:
The prizes are stupid. A golden putter for feck's sake, what a load of nonsense that is. Custom tee markers. And these enhance our WGT experience in some way? As far as I know, they may be responsible for making flags invisible on some courses. So, rather a negative prize there. And some passes. No need to say anything about that.
The individual clashes are very unfair. You have clubs with 10 members against ones with 250. How are opponents actually chosen? Is the potential number of members a club can have the factor rather than how many members they actually have? You did make things fairer when a low score became more valuable than a high one, high five for that. Well, high 3 at least. I'm sure many would think a single raised digit is enough.
This is of course just my opinion but I think you would make many friends if you would make a few changes.
Sort out the scoring to make it fair. Only count the first 25 scores posted by a club. And pit clubs with a similar number of members against each other. The number of scores that count could vary according to the number of members. And then award a set number of points for a win, not the number of points scored during individual clashes.
Give us prizes we may actually want. Credits perhaps, either awarded according to the points won by individual members of a club or to be awarded at the discretion of the owner. Forget stupid tee markers and gilded turds on sticks.
I know you sometimes do listen to us and make changes we ask for. Surely there have been enough complaints about events to make you realise they could be done better.
Please WGT, open your eyes. Events are despised by the majority of us, do something about them.
