  So, I'm busily playing through the usual meter issues today and learned a new fact.  If you reboot (disconnect) three times you lose your match.  Awesome!  So, when you have meter issues - and who doesn't - just remember it's better to shank one after the 2nd disconnect and play thru than have the 3rd disconnect and lose when you're 4 up with 4 to go.  Thanks, WGT!

  You're a legend and just learned about the 3 disconnect rule?...wow...you must have had a good run of smooth games...with all the crashes (especially multi-player games) happening lately, the 3 disco rule has been a source of frustration in these forums seemingly forever...lol

  I agree with your advice though, and it's what many of us have to do to keep game alive.

  Lots of players don't have meter issues.

  Those players that consistently do not have meter issues generally know how to configure and maintain their computers so the meter is smooth for them.

  I am one of the fortunate one's not to suffer from meter problems or from loading/disconnect issues.

  I regularly clear all my caches, and clear the supercookies. I find rebooting the browser every couple of games helps too, with Maxthon that is a quick process. As Apex says there is a good post on optimising your computer.

  I am still running on Windows 7 64 bit and have a fairly new computer, but not a fancy high powered machine. I also have superfast broadband and the latest router to go with it. I have no idea whether this all makes a huge difference, but as I said above I have few issues to complain about.

  If I hit a bad shot it's my fault, not the computers or WGT, which if we were all honest, is the case for most of us. Easy to blame WGT or servers or anything else, but the one trying to hit the ding for the perfect shot.

  Totally agree with Fencer. But I'll go one step further once a year I take my laptop in to a PC place that I trust and have them check it for malware spyware and virusus. I have never cleared my cache or cookies orr any other quick fixes recommended. The game runs about 99% perfect. If I have a bad shot it almost certainly is my own fault.
