Hi, I've noticed that if you play an opponent of a higher tier and win (match play), your average score will decrease.  If you lose, your average score if not affected.  If you play an opponent of an equal or lesser tier, win or lose, your average score if not affected.  This seems to be a good way to lower your score and tier up, since the amount of decrease in your average score is not determined by your total strokes played.  However, I have found no information about how wgt calculates how much your average score is decreased per opponent of a higher tier beaten.  Any thoughts on how to find this info if it exists.  thanks.

    WGT doesn't provide that information.

Courtney is correct, WGT does not disclose the formula, but the same thing works by entering Ready Goes at your tier and scoring in the top three. My average went down 0.7 strokes by doing that. Placing in the top three three times was enough to get me "over the hump" from Tour Master to Legend.
