Last night I was playing fine on Windows10/Chrome. After a round, I put my laptop down for a moment with the client still open. Within a minute or two, I lost my wireless connection. I tried to reload, etc. but kept getting booted off. I also noticed that my Chrome browser was having problems with other sites. They would load slowly or timeout before loading fully. It was late and I shut it down.
I revisited the problem today and was still having slow/broken browser problems. This was the same for Chrome, Edge and Explorer. I called Microsoft help (figuring it was yet another OS interface glitch). The help guy did some diagnostics and concluded that I needed a $100 system "cleanup." I asked him what the specific problem was, but he said I'd have to pay the money THEN talk to "the technician." Of course, I wasn't interested in paying that money for a total tune-up when it was obvious that this help-desk guy had yet to identify the problem with any specificity. He was clearly just pushing for a quick sale and I wasn't going there. This got pretty tense on the phone before I told him to uninstall any of the diagnostic software he put on my machine.
After the call, my browsers seemed to be running better. I returned to Chrome and opened the WGT client. It seems to work well enough until I went onto full-screen mode. They the resolution became very pixelated (even with the graphics set on extra high) and the command buttons became unusable. It was that problem where the arrow appears to be hovering over the camera button, or the club select (or any of the functions), but the screen didnt detect the arrow. Soon, I realized that all of the function buttons responded an inch or two to the left of where they appeared on the screen. I've seen this issue a while back, but not for a long while.
Now my curiosity was really raging. I opened Edge and found that the spacebar didn't work in the client chat. On Explorer, there is a terribly jumpy meter that is not a problem on the other two browsers. I have no idea what's going on, but I'd really like to be able to use Chrome again. Please does anyone have any suggested solutions?
