Well I have to say this has to be the best most interactive  country club  in  wgt ,  there are  good tourneys every week where you can win credits  that are free to enter. All the members  interact with one another  .  I have been in cc's where the players have their own little clicke's and i cant be done with them, everyone integrates  with each other in this cc.   If you want the best then this is the cc to join.

    CRAVEN DALE COUNTRY CLUB
Would you like to join Craven Dale Country Golf Club?
It exists for all levels and tiers and the membership includes Hacks to Champion. The only requirements are to play your free pass when you play your first game of the day, play club tournaments in preference to WGT tourneys, and to interact with other members on a regular basis.
There is optional (but encouraged) membership to the Private Chat Room, Private Club Forum and new Private Poker Room, although non-membership of the Club Forum will preclude you from the many help threads and new tournament posts.

We are trying to build a community and only players who enjoy playing with others need apply.

Look forward to seeing you there

    Sue

    Hi there,

Our club is now level 8 and the core membership is an established one, as such my Directors have been given more responsibility to allow me to get on with the actual overseeing the running of the club, whilst being available to play my members at golf.

Director of Training/Development - Rabbit274 (Our Resident Champion)

Director of Information Technology - Canujustnip

Director of Human Resources - Wtiger22

Manager of Tournament Central - Jimbeauc.

Mike (Wtiger22) has taken on the challenges of looking after members arriving and departing, as well as vetting all applications to join.  Part of his introduction in the above position states the following requirements.

Play at least 1 craven dale C.C tournament per week

Contribute at least 1000 XP points to the club per week

If not looking to receive game invites from other members please set your status to either red or hidden - i will place a thread into the new forum which will be titled "players not seeking game invites" - if you have no desire to receive such invites at all , you can place your name in this thread (this will allow other members to note your wishes and refrain from sending you invites)

You must add Sue to your friends list (for messages and info)

You will not bully or verbally abuse any other club member nor will you pester fellow members to play for credits.

If this sounds like your sort of club, hit the request to join club button or friend Wtiger22 and drop him a message.

We have never aimed to be a capacity club, somwhere between 100 & 150 members to allow a close knit community is our wish.

    Sue

From Humble Beginings Now LEVEL 8

I am Sue,Owner of Craven Dale Country Club,  born and bred in Yorkshire, England, happily married to director Mike (wtiger22).We have a mutual strong interest in most sports, specifically horse racing, rugby and golf.

I personally have been in a few clubs, all clubs had something that did not appeal to me.  During that time I have seen all types of people and seen all types of situation all of which I believe between us Mike and I could have handled better.

What you often find with the great old t'internet is keyboard warriors who bully people because they are anonymous to them or you get those who just won't socialise by making any sort of comment on a forum for fear of being shouted down.

We aim to provide a club, which is a meeting place for all types of people from all types of backgrounds.  Those a little more knowledgeable or affluent could get great satisfaction in helping someone less knowledgeable or less able to improve their game, whilst forging strong friendships along the way.

For those just starting out, on level one looking at someone who is level 100, it is an awfully big gap, starting out clutching your bag of basic beginner clubs and stepping out on to the fairway with newbie stamped all over you, But if given the chance, that newbie could be aided and could too blossom and shine and could skip through those early levels.

As children we know it was praise that brought us on, whilst people standing laughing at us just made us feel weak and inferior.  I was bullied as a child and I do not want that for my club.

In normal life I have secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, mobility can be very difficult, at times reduced to relying on someone to push me in a wheelchair.  With this game it is possible to even out those who struggle to take part in the real life activity of golf and the game can be something which can provide joy and challenge to their world.

Most of all I want a club that will exceed expectations every day in every way to all members, I want it to be filled full of good people however needy they are, with the ability to weed out the less desirable personalities or traits that would not work in the Clubhouse.

For fun, pleasure with no other demands placed on you other than to use your club pass daily, then please join us.  We are here waiting to welcome you

    Here At Cravendale Country Club

The ethos of our club is to create a place where established players get the opportunity to develop their own game whilst at the same time having the opportunity to pass on the benefit of their experience to newer members of the club. There is no pressure on anyone here to do anything that they do not wish to do, however we do not understand why someone would wish to join a club and then take no part in any of its activities.

Our club was created by a husband and wife team, both of whom had been members of various different clubs, we have both sampled the very best And the very worst that country clubs have to offer within wgt, and now it is our aim to bring together the best bits of what we have seen and try our very best to omit the worst bits!

The result of this will hopefully be a club where you can feel valued, safe, part of something And most importantly comfortable at whatever level you wish to or are able to play this great game at.Because here we understand better than most that we cannot all be champions But we can all have fun trying to get there and we certainly can make some lifelong friends on that journey.

so if this sounds like your kind of club then why not jump aboard and take the journey with us?

                                                                   Mike

Oh Sue ... such a wonderful article on WGT!!! I had this unbelievable smile on my face as I read every word (and then, read it again).
And, who knew?!!! Sir Richard Branson and George Clooney?!!! OMG ... I wouldn't have been able to contain myself. I'm sure ... having the chance to meet both of them ... and having a chance to speak with them ... well, I (for once) might have been at a loss for words.
Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us (and for everything you do at Craven Dale daily).
    Have a wonderful week!
    Liz

Well done for this very well deserved recognition Sue. I can't think of a more deserving person. GL on the growth of CravenDale, and all the wonderful things you have done there to make it one of, if not the fastest growing CC around.

Congratulations Sue , great article and accolade for both you and the club.

This should really help us with our quest to recruit quality members now, they cannot help but sit up and take notice.

It's very heart warming to see that your hard work and shear dedication has paid off and been duly recognized by the WGT community, something like this gives us all a morel boost and somehow makes all the effort worthwhile.

I am so pleased and proud for you and Mike, the "admin team" and the membership, This is a shining example of what is achievable by good management and quality members.

Keep up the good work all and lets become one of the best dam country clubs on WGT.  :D
