Maybe an easier question to answer is what % of members reach the top level at WGT? And then derive the number of active members from that........ let's try.
I'm going to ignore Champion as the top level since its so new and appears easy to advance from TL.
Back in August, before Champion, there were roughly 2000 Tour Legends. (1944 to be exact) What % of active players reached TL? Knowing there were 2000 TLs in August we can compute the number of active players. (For example, if we say a tenth of a percent of players reach the TL level then 2000 ÷ .001 = 2,000,000 active players)

My guess is the number of Tour Legends are somewhere in the 0.5% to 1.0% range so there's 200K to 400K active players.
As a cross check, I was 1700th place in a recent clash, trying to shoot the absolute minimum score possible so I figure I was in last place. If all CCs finishing above me were maxed out at 250 members and all 250 were active players (obviously not true but worst case) then 1700 CCs x 250 "active" members is 425,000 active players.
Around 300,000 active players who at least play a game or two per month is what I'm thinking.
