I should like to suggest the inclusion of a small selection of grumpy looking old guys - especially for those of us who are - how shall I put this - grumpy old guys. Maybe one smoking a cigar (if that isn't too horribly offensive) or a little on the portly side or possibly with mismatched socks. Not being portly myself or careless in my attire or a cigar smoker, I should however be quite happy with an avatar of advanced years and a certain cynical demeanor as befits one who continues to labour in the trenches despite diminishing returns on his investment.

HAHAHA your description reminded me of a neighbour living next door 20 years ago. He was indeed very grumpy, but in fact, he was warm-hearted. I could see that. If he's still alive (I hope...), he'd be close to 100! I kinda miss him...

Hadn't heard of Carl or athf but googlized it and he seems to fit the bill. The tee shirt is a nice touch although it might not "wash" at some place like Pebble Beach.

Yes I'm sure you were right about him. It's just the general cussedness of things that makes us grumpy but we never completely lose our affinity for the human race. Course architects maybe...
