Solved - this makes perfect sense now as to why this happened to me recently.  Thanks for all the suggestions as they led me down a proper path.  Google Chrome 39 was released a week or so ago and now supports a new extension called "Data Saver" which I had turned on.  I believe that Data Saver causes pages to be redirected through Google proxy servers where the data is compressed further before being sent to the browser.  Having uninstalled Chrome and rebuilt the profile I was still having the green grid problem until I disabled all my extensions and reenabled them one by one.  This one is clearly the culprit as I have replicated a few times now turning it back on and getting the problem and turning it off and the problem is gone.  Thanks everyone and maybe let folks know about this.  Happy to be back playing WGT again!  Now I gotta get to Tour Master since I can read greens again - ha ha!

the dots on the green while on LOW settings stutter, but when the setting is on Medium, High or Best it's nice and smooth.. Wish WGT would fix this.
