    Instead of making a new thread; I'll ask here...

    Why do the Level 85 Nike Iron's have such a good reputation? I don't see why I should buy those when 5 levels away is the RSi2's with 4.5 spin vs 3.5 for the nikes?

    The level 85 Nike irons have 3 major things going for them...they are cheaper, they have a slower meter, and can be obtained 5 levels earlier...it takes a lot of games to progress from level 85 to 90.

    I used the Level 85s for a long time and found them to be excellent irons. When I finally reached level 100, I stayed with Nike and upgraded to the vapor irons. Same meter speed and the 85's.

    Edit: Jim's follow on post to mine is spot on. I did not consider the quality of player angle in my response to you. I am an average player. A great player can make better use of what the top irons can offer, so honest self assessment is important before you spend the money. Balls also fall into this category. I rarely use the top Nikes, as I simply don't have the talent to take advantage of their specs.

    Based on feedback and limited rental time experience:

    L85s - Very very good, but less overall potential in the hands of a very good player with a good ball;

    L90s - Excellent, and cunningly similar to the best you can get.  They simply offer that bit extra potential across the board, and the 3 iron especially shows it's class.  Talking a good player to bring it all out, and maybe some extra real time in with practice / mapping.

    Have a look at some Legend Tier RGs to see what's preferred generally, and then some TL and Champs ones.  The stiffer the competition the more the L90s + get preferred, but that don't make the L85s poor quality in their place either :)

    That 's a netiquette faux pax and known as a Thread Hijack.

    Yes, I am entirely aware it was a hijack, but I felt it was justified to ask a question in a thread of a similar topic rather than make an entire new thread when a similar one is right beside it.

    I fully agree with ^^^^ position. There is blatant hi-jacking, where a completely different topic is introduced, then there is simple efficiency.
