  agreed Jim,The Sd ball has always been great value for money and can do what the GI SD can,meter is a tad quicker but you can get used to it fast,I enjoyed my combo time with SD and Raps  and Iconian played SD  for quite a while.

  Raptures and Callaways and you've got the easiest way to play this game. that must be so slow a meter your ding success rate would be huge

  if i had the creds I'd go back to Raps with the new magic ball. (edit - mainly out of curiosity, not knowledge ;) )

  i do like the g10's though, if you fancy a change I'd thoroughly recommend them :)

  The Tour-SDs are 22 cents each! You don't need $1 balls Tracy and yes, they do make a difference.  Heh, in fact for some players they're lost without them. Played an AS the other night and one of the TMs in the game didn't switch to his Callaways and did nothing but complain about it the whole match until I suggested that if he needed a special ball to play then maybe something else was wrong. :-)

  Just shot lowest 18hole scores(well,2 nine hole) EVER on Oakmount. Only thing I've changed is the ball. MAYBE balls MIGHT make a SMALL difference in performance.  :-)

  There's no maybe about it Tracy-they definitely improve your scores BUT you have to know what to do with them. Just buying them is a waste of credits if you think they will automatically drop your scores.

  Agreed, yet so far I've probably knocked 1-2 strokes off as they seem to "grab" quicker leaving shorter putts.  thanks

  In the end though, no club is better than your timing. If you ding often - go for precision, if not, go for forgiveness. In all honesty though, I do not find my G10 less forgiving than the Tour Burners

  Haven't tried the burners, but the G10's I had were very unforgiving and had a meter speed I couldn't get down. I'm actually getting close enough for birdie attempts with my starter plus clubs and I hit the "ding" more often with them. t hope to upgrade as soon as funds are available. Opted to spend what I could on wedges first.  When unemployed money gets tight.  :-)

  I think that's a good decision, I have 3 TM wedges and they've helped my short game a lot.

  I'd also recommend the L48 Raptures, so consistent and forgiving but hit long and produce decent spin. I'm pretty sure you won't regret getting them.

  Thanks. I've been told by others that if I can't afford or hit the level60 G-10's that the L48 Raptures would be a good choice. Pretty sure that's where I'm going eventually. Most of my problem, if you look at my stats, is I miss tooooo  many putts under 10'  Just am not good at the breaks. That is another story (as Paul Harvey used to say)  :-)
