    Good morning fellas.

It may have already been discussed here, but I was looking for in-depth advices for the best set of irons out there. I have the Masters Raptures, and they are awesome for me. Slow meter, good precision, nice spin, little yardage loss from the rough and everything. But I hear so much people saying the G10's and I15's are better, so I wonder what is the winner between irons.

Well, looking in the Pro Shop I find that along with G10s and I15s, the R9 and Tour Preferred have nicer stats than my Raptures. I'm analyzing these stats out of my own and came the obvious answers (TP is longer, G10 kills with High trajectory and good spin, R9 is Med/Hi with the most spin and the I15 is surgically precise).

I'm kind of bad with overfast meters, so the I15 would not be so good for me now (yeah, of course I can get used to it). I play mostly at BPB, where the greens are uphill and guarded, so I think the R9 and G10 are better out because of their trajectories. TP wins with the longer trajectory (I'm a bad driver, play from the rough everytime)

If some of you Iron owners can give some piece of advice, I'd be thankful :)

I now use the G10's after having used the Raptures.  The meter is a little faster, so might take a little getting used to.  But, they're the same speed as Z-Satin or Tour-W wedges, so it's not as if you've not used that meter speed before (assuming you use those wedges!).  I'm happy with the G10's, and when I go back to the Raptures I definitely notice a difference in performance.  Not tried any of the others so can't comment on those.

The I15s will be too fast for you after reading your post,If you can afford the callaway ball then the G10s will be a perfect combination,Remember its all about iron ball combination,If you combine G10 with Gi3-D ball you get a slower meter but a similar performance to Raps with GI-SD Ball,So if you want to see the best out of your irons you must use the best balls ,GI-SD or Callaway. So my advice would be G10s with Callaway ball,>>Yummy<<:)

Unfortunately I can't afford Callaways for everyday use, so I play with Tour GI-SD balls. Do you think that G10s with Tour GI-SD is a good option?

Hire them out first and combine the g10 with the GI SD and see if you can play that meter speed because it will be quicker than Raps

Priestess has given you some solid advice here and there 's nothing more to add to it. From my personal experience I have found that my i15's perform poorly with the callaways and eventually switched back to GI-SD ball.

The reason people say go with the G10's or I15's is becuase of the trajectory.. these irons sets are the highest trajectory in the game, and the higher your trajectory the better of a stick you will get to the green...

    thats the simple fact.

Hard to say now with the Calloway balls Gambit. I would suggest using the Calloways with the Raptures just on Bethpage as whether or not they pass the test there is big. You shouldn't lose any balls there and their added durability should make them the same price or cheaper. The key is not losing them. Some players switch clubs with courses too. I had a 28 on Oakmont's front nine with the Raps but only since I've changed to the G 10s has Bethpage become playable for me. Another (rap against the raps) is you are fooling with different meter speeds as no wedges or the R9 driver match. And if you take any time off of the game like I did, your instincts fade. By the time they had legend tees I found I would have needed to switch anyway.
