Okay, so most think the clashes are a money grubbing waste.

Well, I have plenty to spend and belong to a club that generally doesn't.

It would be great if I could buy passes, put them in the bank, and folk could grab one when they needed it.

    Just a thought.

What benefits do you expect for your CC from arriving any higher place on the leaderboard?

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to your CC and your mates if you gave them balls and equipment?

(not talking about the futility of hope today)

    I do. :^)

My club participates sporadically in these. I can pretty much take them or leave them. I get that I could gift passes to individuals, but that'd be awfully time consuming.

I'm not talking about funding an entire event. Many in the club have opportunities to get free credits and can spend them as they see fit. Yes, some who could afford to spend might grab my freebies, but that is a chance I'd be willing to take in order to help those many from countries with little or no offerings.

Pretty much a moot point, as I sincerely doubt WGT will even bother to respond in the negative.

Good work and good deeds in your CC, Jim!

I just can't get rid of the thought that any pass bought in a Clash is a waste of credits.

Thanks. It's fun to help folk out. Heh. Especially when all it really costs me is the time watching vids, etc.

Certainly agreed in the most part, yet if people DO want to participate but simply can't afford it, I'd like it to be easier to help out.

And if the club gets it into their collective head to go for a top 25, I don't mind firing a bunch of rounds at it.

The irony is that I moved up to Chumpion 3 days ago, and my average got pounded by multiple rounds of Merion and Painhurst.

    C'est la Golf. :^)
