A couple of years ago for maybe 6mo, wgt would provide a few weekly/monthly tourneys with zero wind. Of course the scores in general would be lower and then these set-ups vanished. I would like to see the CC set ups with the added ability to engage the zero wind option at any venue but in a non-counted, non-value or average affecting set up, but used for the sole purpose of mapping. It would be a fabulous tool to have at your finger-tips as most players here spend much time figuring which club/power/shot type is best used. Mapping in wind is useful but unable to provide exacting, more valuble information. What do you think?

That was one of a few suggestions I made last year. I thought they would especially like the idea of making it something CC Level specific as a reason to advance.

Of course WGT ignored it completely.

Ha - While wgt provides a great many helpful/useful things in many different packages, they do have this long-standing fondness for ignoring most (it seems to me) of the clever, valid, reasonable, popular, easily implemented ideas we read here all the time. And I must add, Jim, It is something impossible to understand by me.

Those No Wind tournies you mentioned are at the Legend level. At least, they used to be.  I know, I pounded on them on the way to TL. I will confess, most of that was because it was a super training regimen for learning club deviation.

I shudder to think of what scores would look like in No Wind affairs at the TL and C level, especially in the unlimiteds.

Yep. I have a long list of them. Oh well, we tried. :^)

    LOL.

    True dat.

In the CC context, it would be great to have it as an option. Whenever a member gets some new clubs, just request that an unlimited "Club Calibration" tourney go up. Most clubs could spare a slot for it, methinks.

Good idea, that. Practice mode only, though.

Wishful thinking for the whole concept, but I'd be willing to bet that if the no wind option were introduced, WGT could make "Practice" the default.

Heh. Here we are perfecting a good idea that will slowly drift down the forum into the forgotten void.

Well, Y Jim & Jim B, I thought I made the purpose clear, but know my writing is ,at times, (most times) un-clear as I stipulated the following:

    SweetiePie:
see the CC set ups with the added ability to engage the zero wind option at any venue but in a non-counted, non-value or average affecting set up, but used for the sole purpose of mapping.

    Si ?
