As you are now aware, the new Spring Tour kicked off on Monday 28th March....here's what's involved:
The Tour runs in a 4 week rota which repeats over 3 rotations, so 12 (and sometimes 13 weeks) to a Tour.
SEL Strokeplay Leagues:
Divisions are now 20 players each, playing each other once over 3 weeks, making 19 fixtures. THERE WILL BE 4 PROMOTED AND 4 RELEGATED FROM EACH DIVISION from OCTOBER with 5th place playing 5th bottom from league above in playoffs using Stattopoints 1 in week 4.
SEL CTTH Leagues:
CTTH events run for 2 days. There are 14 events per month with your best 8 scores to count. If you play less than 8, your score will be made up to 8 scores with a penalty score for each missed event.
The SEL ORDER OF MERIT:
This 12/13 week long Tour consists of the following events all carrying OOM points
Weekly Medal for Champions, Tour Legends and Legends - 2 x 9 holes with a 50% cut after the first 9 holes .
Weekly Salver for all other Tiers - 2 x 9 holes with a 50% cut after the first 9 holes.
Weekly Captains Pennant for Champions, Tour Legends and Legends - 1 x 18 holes best 8 scores from the 12 weeks
Weekly Captains Shield for all other Tiers - 1 x 18 holes , best 8 scores from the 12 weeks
2 x 18 hole Weekly Tour event - open to ALL TIERS 1 x 18 holes running for 5 days, best 16 scores from the 24 events
Weekly Collator - 1 x 9 holes per week with your best 8 scores from the 12 weeks added together to give a total with OOM points awarded for FINAL position on leaderboard.
Monthly Survivor for Champions, Tour Legends and Legends - 4 rounds of 9 holes with top 75% making the cut each round best 2 scores from the 3 months
Monthly Survivor for all other Tiers - 4 rounds of 9 holes with top 75% making the cut each round best 2 scores from the 3 months
Stattopoints - 6 x 9 hole rounds played over 7 days. Using Statto's fiendishly complicated system of comparing rounds played on different courses and in different conditions (finger in wind 
), each round is awarded some points. Your best 3 round from the 6 will be added together to give a total. OOM points awarded for final leaderboard position (big points) best 2 scores from the 3 months
The Endurance - 9 holes on each course with another Statto point variation added together. The lower your Tier, the more bonus points on offer for each round, so worth playing.
Major - There will be a Major event which carries double OOM points with 4 x 18 holes and 5 days to play each round, open to ALL members
The SEL Strokeplay Cup - Depending on your SEL Ranking after week 12 of the Winter Tour, all players with a ranking will be seeded into a normal knockout Cup using the League fixtures, so make sure you play the league fixtures!! Points awarded depending on round reached. best 2 scores from the 3 months
The SEL Tier Cups - One for Champs, TLs and Ls and one for all other Tiers. The top 64 Champs, TLs and Ls and the Top 32 of all other Tiers will be seeded depending on the SEL rankings produced on Monday morning after the Winter Tour has ended and placed into groups. Round robin using the league fixtures and top 2/4 from each group move onto the knockout phase. Points awarded depending on round reached. best 2 scores from the 3 months
The SEL Ranking Cups - Based on your SEL Ranking on the final day of the Winter Tour (top 96), you will be drawn into 1 of 4 Cups with more points on offer the higher the Level of Cup. Players ranked 1-24 enter the top cup, ranked 25-48 the next cup and so on until the final cup for players ranked 73-96. Group phase using the league fixtures and then a knockout cup, but lots of points on offer. best 2 scores from the 3 Cups
The Eclectic Cups (9 and 18 hole) - over the 12/13 week Tour, your best score for each 9 hole and 18 hole course will be added together to form a leaderboard which gets OOM points determined on your final position. Courses where you don't post a score get a penalty score of 50 (60 for Bo5) for 9 holes and 100 (120 for Bo5) for 18 holes.
OTHER CTTH EVENTS:
Monthly CTTH survivor - 4 rounds with top 75% making the cut each time.
SEL CTTH Masters Cup (replacing Tier Cups) - Qualifying event will be set and the Top 32 from that event (2 days to play) will qualify. There will then be 8 groups of 4 playing round robin using the normal CTTH events, then top player in each group progresses to the knockout rounds. Points awarded depending on round reached
Standalone Events
Uneven Events - This is the least played event and so has been moved to make way for other events, but I know there are some that like this event, so there will be 8 Uneven events set during this Tour with a leaderboard at the end.
Of course, there is the ongoing Premium competitions going on along with other fun one off events, some for credits, some not and a weekly Sunday get together, not to mention the Inter CC competitions as well. That should keep you all out of mischief - what are you reading this for, go and play something!!!!!!!
