Yep, I usually just take a few yards off the distance when figuring out what to hit. In real life, I sometimes will play par 3's with no tee if the yardage is close to a full swing shot for one of my irons. Sometimes it's just a bit longer than my iron shot from a fw so I know a tee will make up that small gap.
I need to remap my irons from the tees, I usually try to get a low neutral wind and map the carry distance with no spin. Example, for me, my 4 iron 210 yd will go 220 with no spin from a tee, and my 180 yd club goes 188 w/ no spin. Easier than trying to choke a 195 yd club with spin.
