Earnings are a meaningless statistic. Case in point ... you can enter 2,000 RG's at 100 credits each ... come in 16 to 20 in each by shooting around par ... and wind up with $1,000 dollars in career earnings. Personally I have $1,300 in earnings .. but I entered $1,260 RG's .... so i'm 4000 credits ahead ... after buying balls ... i'm in the hole.
Not that we all have access to the same clubs / balls - the only way to really rank players .... as has been said before by many in the forums is a combination of:
- Average within your tier (which I think WGT has made major strides on with the new formula - much better than the old one
- Match Play records .... my preference would be something like - once you have a record of 60% wins in match play against the next tier, on a basis of 20 matches - you advance to that tier. If your good enough to beat the folks in the next tier 60% of the time you play them .... you should play from the same tees.
And for those of you who say ... "The Legend Ball evens out the Field" .... I can't wait for you to advance and try it .... it doesn't come close.
Thanks all :) ... Happy Virtual Golfing
