1)i would like to suggest something based on career earnings ...

at the moment a lot of tour master dreaded being a legend when they have to tee off from the black tees....they need more time to get used to it...

why not promote tour master to legend based on career earnings..lets say when thier earnings reached..$500 or $1000(subjective)....they should start teeing off from the black tees but without being promoted to legends...until such time that thier average stays below 63 after a number of ranked rounds..say 50 or 100(subjective) ..then they should qualify as a legend truly..and as a legend they should  have the privilege of buying  a slightly longer legend driver say 285 or 290yrd and premium balls.too.

in the above scenario...a tour master wil be motivated to turn legend once they have sufficient earnings..and not keep milking the ready gos and match plays forever.

They can already buy the 280 yrd. driver AND hit from the master tee box with it. The ones working the system will never move up. A combo of earnings and mpc wins is the only way to promote these players imo. JB

That would leave all of us who aren't eligible for RGs and MPCs out of the Legend tier.

I like it, as long as current Legends with earnings less than say $60 are booted out and sent to TM.

Earnings are a meaningless statistic.   Case in point ... you can enter 2,000 RG's at 100 credits each ... come in 16 to 20 in each by shooting around par ... and wind up with $1,000 dollars in career earnings.    Personally I have $1,300 in earnings .. but I entered $1,260 RG's .... so i'm 4000 credits ahead ... after buying balls ... i'm in the hole.

Not that we all have access to the same clubs / balls - the only way to really rank players .... as has been said before by many in the forums is a combination of:

    1. Average within your tier (which I think WGT has made major strides on with the new formula - much better than the old one
    2. Match Play records .... my preference would be something like - once you have a record of 60% wins in match play against the next tier, on a basis of 20 matches - you advance to that tier.    If your good enough to beat the folks in the next tier 60% of the time you play them .... you should play from the same tees.

And for those of you who say ... "The Legend Ball evens out the Field" .... I can't wait for you to advance and try it .... it doesn't come close.

Thanks all :) ... Happy Virtual Golfing

How about, in MPCs, the tee defaults to the higher tier? That would sure level some playing fields. :-)

YJ .. sounds like a great plan except ... higher tier players would never get a game.   With only 2% of the players being legends (or so i hear)  ... i'd be playing with myself more than I already am.
