Thank you to all the dads out there who sacrificed so much to give their children better opportunities.
Thank you to all the dads out there who also went to war, leaving their loved ones behind, to give their children better and safer lives.
Let's all reflect on how lucky we were to have dads that were at home, who loved us, who we looked up to and who provided for us.
Mine is gone but I'll never forget him. He was always there for me, bailed me out of jail once (!), kicked my butt when it deserved to be kicked, but was always quietly supporting me, from my school reports, rugby/cricket matches, school plays, to my divorce and beyond.
I owe you, dad. I can't ever repay the debt but all I can and will do is continue to try and make you proud of me.
