Well It took a long while , But after 1350 plus ranked rounds,Maybe I have finally figured some thing out. So I thought I would share what I've found ,and maybe some frustration levels can be lowered. Personally my meter used to dance like the cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. But I have now played the last 15 rounds without a meter studder ......So if you are having trouble you might wish to give this a try.

Drives, approach shots, and wedges..... Mouse to desired distance and hold for 15 seconds, then shoot.

Putts.....mouse to desired distance and wait 5 seconds after the bars in the center of the meter have stopped moving, then proceed with your shot.

Don't know if this will work for you but it sure has for me.....and has made and already fun game ......even funner ....is that possible.

Well folks see you on the links and the best of luck to all.

                                                                                                              Sincerely

It's actually a 2 word reply.  The spelling of the word is "Stutter"  and there are many of the players using  "studder". No offence meant.

So you only got as far as reading the title.  Try reading the rest... gives you a headache!

I thought it was a concise enough OP,from someone with experience and a bright sunny outlook, enlivened by relieving a long held frustration. The actual content does conflict in a way with other recent advice whereby holding the power flag is supposed to increase the hooligan element in ball flight.

Speaking as one who uses no particular method other than the requirement to redress imbalance after each shot,I do not for a moment pretend to any great authority on the subject other than the adage oft quoted "If it works,do it".

As for spelling,my current distatste is directed more at "quiters" and "effect"/"Affect",the latter being not only a spell misdemeanour, but one of improper usage too,but then, this I suppose,is a virtual golf site and not metriculation to Oxbridge.

zizLie, I prefer Camford myself.  And what does converting to metric have to do with Oxbridge?
