    YankeeJim:
IMO, you should play all the courses and learn as you go. You won't be seriously challenged until you get to the back tees so enjoy the short time you have until you get there.  Play all over and let your average do what it will. :-)

This is great advice. I probably tiered up too quickly because I played St. Andrews a lot and avoided some of the more difficult courses. In retrospect, I shouldn't have been so quick to move up.

But it is what it is.

I played, and play, all the courses (with the exception of Bandon Dunes). I discovered a few important things; including the fact I play equally poorly on them all. I set most of the games and just select the random course option.

One odd side note, by selecting random, I once had pebble beach pop up 3 times in a row.

Robert- I catch your drift- lol.

I am taking the day off ranked play to mull it over. I joined probably over eight years ago when they just had I think nine holes of ST. Andrews. It was kind of boring so I forgot about it until about a month ago and started playing again. It started me out as a tour pro at level 20 even though I don't think they had tiers then? I played a lot of computer golf in the early 2000's with my actual average of about 61. Lots of stuff the same but lots way different.

I have decided to stay at tour pro for a few more days yet- until I get the level 59 irons.

I'll be going Master soon. I already bought the G25's and a new driver TaylorMade R1. It's a 9.0 and 275 dist. At Tour Pro I have to hit less percent with this driver on doglegs or I out drive the fairways til i learn to draw and fade shots. Moving back a tee won't affect me much.
