The problem is you can see the distance, elevation and wind. Exit the game, input your formula then come back and hit it the exact distance you got from your formula.

If it is possible to exit the game and still have 12 seconds when you return then it makes the comp a complete farce! I don't know if it is because i haven't checked so i am asking if it is??   Can you  run the clock down to 1 sec and then exit to return to 12 seconds??  If that is the case then i won't be entering anymore.

i dont think it'll help you much. sure if you arent sure and down to one, you exit and save a penalty, but then u're back in the same spot, where you have to change aim, change club, and swing... as long as it's same for everyone, it should be OK. i dont think we can make it the way you want, but i do understand the concern.

Interesting points here. Well 12 sec is as fast as I can do (10 sec will be too fast), a few times I need to hit my putt too early lol. I am not doing that exiting and coming back thing, kinda takes the pressure and excitement off if you ask me. I manage at a normal round/9 holes, and on even lies and 12 sec to post under par on any course and any conditions.

You have to calculate quick, trust what you think will happen immediately and trust your feel on the greens. Making a few easy mistakes with only 12 sec/shot is part of the game. Great that WGT created these tournaments, but 10 seconds is ridiculous. I need those extra 2 sec lol. Anyways, great that WGT created these tourneys - fast golf is always more fun than slow golf.

    They don't care.

This site continues to implement silly crap w/o thinking. They forget that the low-life cheats abound here. And they can, and will, always find ways to exploit anything and everything.

What TG/WGT should do is not ban the cheats (remember that farce/lie about security sweeps? pfft!!!), but HIRE them.

And now they're advertising these shot-timer tourneys on the front page.

The shot clock just added one more reason why I dont enter any WGT tournaments.  They seem to think it will level the field.  I see aother way to cheat.  No thanks.

It would take me 2 hours to play 9 holes exiting and coming back again. That's if my puter didn't lock up in the process. Takes all types I guess.

    everyone

we are still experimenting with these, so we welcome your feedback. i also understand that there maybe people who do exactly that on every shot. it's definitely dishonest and we are monitoring all aspects of games, including these....
