We've all been there. At least mobile players. You're playing a 3 hole game in one of the rooms and you're on the third hole and about to win by a stroke, and you land your ball a yard from the pin.

Your opponent has an 8ft putt to tie the game and misses by inches. But instead of finishing out the game, lacking any sense of courtesy or etiquette, either forfeits, or worse let's the shot clock run out so you sit for a minute waiting for him/her to be disqualified.

Now that I'm up to level 80, it's going to take weeks to level up, and every precious XP point counts. But I've just wasted 10-15 minutes to get a measly 10 points, or less, because my opponent is a thoughtless bum. I could understand if he landed in the brush on the first hole and didn't want to waste strokes on his 600 credit ball trying to hack his way back to the fairway. But I don't understand why he'd quit a putt away from the finish with what is often a starter ball and costs him nothing.

Does he think that he's preserving his pathetic stroke average by quitting? Or punishing me by denying me my XP points?

WGT should program the game so players are not penalized by the rude and thoughtless actions of another player. Do you agree?

No I don't. You now know what the risks are and if you continue to play with random players you don't know that's your fault. Play within a country club, play with friends and play with people who come highly recommend through friends or these forums. Problem solved.

My two Pfennig for easy-going play:

Don't play MP for anything else than fun!

    - not for credits,

    - not for average,

    - not for XPs, and not with a CC pass!

Find some friends to play with (a CC is a good option)!

I suggest we start boycotting quitters threads.

Erm... the next one, obviously.  ;)

Playing mobile game for division standings one doesn't have the luxury of choosing their opponent.

I've learned not to play those games when my CDP points are at risk. But I don't feel a player should be penalized for another's lack of common courtesy or etiquette.

I'm not addressing those who don't much care. But some do. Should I not care that members with a thousand consecutive days played have to start over from jump? Or maybe that some are annoyed that they can no longer start a match for CDP points until after the day changes? Or should I not be bothered that I either get no notifications of posts or get them in triplicate? Perhaps when a starter ball lands in the water it's a water hazard; but if it's a 400 credit ball, it's a lost ball?

We all have our peeves. Mine just happens to be this one.
