Here is why playing tournaments with heavy wind are no fun and make no sense.

There is a 23 mph quartering wind.  I played for the shot to move 15 ft and dinged it.  THE BALL ENDED UP 40 TO THE RIGHT OF THE HOLE.  Which means the wind moved it 55 feet!

How can this happen?  There is no logic to it!

That PB hole has a tendency to stay left (weird hole).  So imo this means your aim must have been no where near enough.  You had 26-28 mph 45degree angle wind.  So 27*.707 = 19 yards aim left or 57feet.  Seems about right to me.

I'm not brilliant at this game Gerry, but in my experience, dinging a shot into a crosswind is almost as bad as missing the ding on the leeward side. High spin clubs and balls exacerbate the problem.  : (

That seemed pretty much as expected. Nike Platinums ballooned it up and it kept drifting. Shot seemed to start inside the edge of the green, so not enough leeway.
