Balaouras21:
So...who is 4th,who is 5th,who is 7th...and who is 8th....from yhe 3d possition straight to 6th and then 9th....i just don't get it...only 1st and 2nd place get the credits you are saying on the payment rules.....
OK, its time for Basic Arithmetic 101. Class will come to order.
Look at the final results you included with your first post. There is a tie for 3rd, 4th and 5th places. So no one finished in 4th or 5th place. The credits for 3rd, 4th and 5th have to be averaged between the players who posted the same score. 3rd pays 300 credits, 4th pays 250 credits and 5th pays 200 credits. You add the total of credits together then divide by the number of players that tied to get the average payout for those places (3rd, 4th and 5th)..
300 + 250 + 200 = 750 Divide by 3 = 250 credits each player for 3rd, 4th and 5th places..
There was also a tie for 6th place. 6th, 7th and 8th places all pay 200 credits each. But if you add the totals you get the following:
200 + 200 + 200 = 600. Divide 600 by 3 (number of players) and you get the 200 credits that each one wins for 6th, 7th and 8th places.
There was a big tie for 14th place. Your post doesn't show how many people tied, but you can see that each was paid 61 credits. I checked the results and 9 players tied for 14th place. 14th and 15th places paid 100 credits each. 16th thru 22nd places (7 total) paid 50 credits. So 7 time 50 = 350 credits. Total is this:
100 + 100 + 350 = 550 Divide by 9 (number of players who tied for 14th place) = 61 credits each
When ties occur, you take the credits for each position that tied, and add them together. Then you divide by the number of players that tied. You then get THE AVERAGE AVERAGE AMOUNT PAID TO THOSE PLAYERS.
Sorry for shouting, but It's simple math.
If you still don't get it, i don't know how to explain it any easier.
I hope you took notes as there will be a test later. And it will impact your final grade.
