I have tried everything I can think of to stop the jerky motion of the meter bar.

Disc Clean defrag, Game booster, Updated Flash player - even installed MX5 browser ( helps a little), better balls with limited funds yet I still get stuttering meter!

My friend KingSak is ready to quit this game because of it! His Ang. went from 82.4 to 120.0 in one day because meter is messing him up!

We both have more than minimum spec's on our PC's. I run Vista on one PC and XP pro on another with same results.

    Steve, (KingSak) uses XP pro.

    Any advice?

If you can afford it,adding memory can really help with meter stutters. On this PC I have 4 gig of ram and rarely have any stutters except on one very poor browser. On another PC that at the present time has a video card issue that won't allow to use it I game 8 gig and never have any stutters.

If adding memory isn't an option the first thing to try is to set flash quality to low. Picture quality is only slightly worse than high and it will help on lower end machines. Also check out background loading.Setting it to off also helps on lower end machines.

And a good stable browser helps a lot. Try several until you find the one that works best on your PC As for Maxthon 5,try switching cores. Many have had good success switching from the Ultra core to the Retro core.

If the meter doesn't play smoothly on your computer, something, other than the WGT game client, is likely using up to much of your computer's CPU performance.

It could even be that your's and KingSak's CPU or your power supply are running hot because you need to clean the heat sink around the CPU in your computer case and the inside of the power supply.

With Task Manager open, set to Performance, and minimized to your task bar you can monitor how busy your computer's CPU is during the swing. A pause at the top of the swing for a 3 or 4 count is usually needed to let the CPU performance dwindle.

Check your StartUp list and disable everything you don't need to play WGT that might run in the background as you try to play WGT.
