I think the game would be much better if you could change to another ball in your inventory, instead of having to finish the round with the free balls that have a fast meter and no control of the ball.  Thank you for hearing my idea

The game will inform you of when it has loaded up the last ball of the particular type you are using & give you the option of buying a sleeve on the spot. What I do is keep a dozen of the balls that I use on hand. When I am at 9 left, I buy a sleeve. My initial outlay was 22$, then 5.50 to replace a sleeve.

EZ solution - Make sure you have enough balls in your bag to complete the game before starting the game.

Also note that WGT posts a notice giving you a chance to buy another 3 ball sleeve of the ball you're playing when you start using the last ball you have in your bag.

    RLndsy:
having to finish the round with the free balls

You needn't. Just abort the round. I guess that it's unimportant anyway because you'd certainly start an important round better equipped.

Maybe it's different on the PC, but on the iPad, besides giving me the option to purchase a sleeve on the last ball, I also have the option to purchase a new sleeve (within the round) on the last hit of the last ball of a sleeve. And, if I recall correctly, that option doesn't go away as the round continues. So there's no need to complete the round with the starter ball.

If you don't have the credits stockpiled to purchase balls, a really good option would be to play with the free white rocks. Then you never have to worry about switching balls mid round as well as  learning things like meter speed and course management.

I have not once, in all my rounds here, run out of my usual ball and had to finish with rocks.

Nor have I ever run out of fuel in a vehicle.  I wonder how many of those who ask this question all the time have?

I try to be nice around here, I really do, but sometimes I wish there was a big button marked SLAP on my screen.

A few months back I think they even had it where you could buy a new sleeve even after you ran out of balls.
