    darktone:

By the way what changesat the Tour Legend leveland beyond?

Green speed goes from tournament (12) to championship (13). Occasionally 14 in WGT tournies.

TLs and Champs still play from the Legend tees.

Green speeds, rising to 13 and 14.

Also how elite is it to be a Lengend , tour legend, champion? Are there thousands at each level or just a few hundred?

Difficult Q because all the inactive players count in.

Champs: ColumbusStorm publishes monthly lists, showing around 1400 Cs - numbers growing.

TLs: When that player was a TL, he had the same list for TLs, last number was around 1800(?), a year ago.

Ls: an educated guess points to 10,000 Ls - rather vague though.

To me, top priority is fun rather than elite!

I agree Alosso! Been a blast so far and I love working to improve. A few times so far it has felt like a chore to play a round and that's when I take a break for a few days and only play one on one.

You will get the hang of it, made legend about two months ago and thought i`d landed on another planet *shocked* Once it starts coming together it`s a lot of fun, good luck :)

I entered a Legend bracket 9 hole free and made it to the semi final so far. I feel just fine playing from longer tee's. I am comfortable with my clubs- this helps.

Don't neglect your short game, As you are further back you are probably iniatially going to miss some more greens so don't forget to sharpen up your scrambling (pitching etc) & your Sand Saves (Greenside Bunker play) for those par saves/keep them bogies off the card

darkstone it's always fun playing from the parking tee, the problem is you will not find a lot of competion in free bracket, half of them forfeit lol

If you want to improve your overall game, you need to master the wedge shots (full, punch, flop, pitch, chip), be more accurate with irons and working your putting skill.

Thanks Micheldess, i am imoroving all the time- thats why i have so much fun. I think since i only play ranked rounds and dont play practice rounds my stats might not show my improvement as quickly. With the clubs i have now i am getting to know them better all the time. I do need work on my pitch and punch shots.

Also don't forget to play all try all your shots out of the different lies of rough, how much carry/roll etc but if you do that in practice mode the figures will be skewed. Do it instead in a CC unlimited Tournie & that way you'll be able to stand over the figures!
