For chip or pitch distance is to hole. Simple guideline is full backspin on
the ball, no compensation for lie. Elevation & break do matter. MOST shots
will be pitches to get over rough etc. All this DOES NOT hold for sand.
Also be sure your balls & or clubs have some "spin" rating. That will
get you closer........
