    Snaike:
I'm curious, eligolfer, do you play golf?  Not a computer game, but the real, honest, outside in the fresh air, swingin' your sticks golf?

Yes I am Snaike, I got hcp of 3.5.... And when I in real golf do everything right or most of it the ball starts where I want and not several yrds to right or left!

On Edgewood Tahoe CTTH I made a perfect (excellent it told me) shot on 8th hole. Funny as it is the ball starter left of the bunker which is in front left! Thats like 20-30yrds wrong lol.

Not speaking of the play around the green... A chip that says it should go 16 yrds never goes 16 yrds, sometimes just bumps forward like 1 yrd.

Well I guess I'll just stick to this non realistic game because I think lots of other things are fun.

But don't tell me this is realistic! Then you dont know what you are talking about. Maybe a hack or amature could please with this but I have now reached pro and a real pro dont hit a perfect shot that much to right or left when doing it all right!

A "real" Pro would not be playing with clubs that have almost zero precision! You may not want to spend the money or be able to, but better clubs will get you better results. Until then you will continue to get erratic results!

The one and ONLY reason they are doing that is because they want to get money from people buying new things. The argument that its more realistic is just ***.

If you use starter clubs then the aim ark is going to be massive, i.e imagine a circle around where you aim, say the flag for arguments sake, then with starter clubs the circle around this point might be 6 yards around the flag, and your ball will land any where in that 6 yard circle.  If you buy say the G10's with 3 dots presicion, then that aim ark around the flag might reduce to 3 yards, and your ball will land any where in that 3 yard circumfrance around pin, and if you have wedges with 4 dots presicion, then that circle around flag goes to 2 yards.  Am i making sense?

Any other stray shot can be put down to "deviation" or what others might call bad game physics, its up to you what to think, but remember, this is a golf simulator, and not a video game like T.W.O, so as in real life, every shot is not going to be the same.

First of all its not 6yrds we are talking about, sometimes its up to 20-30 as i said before.

Second stop saying that stupid "real life" thing. Yes every shot in real life ends up different BUT thats because i dont make everything perfect. And the difference between the shots might be something like a yrd right or left of where im aiming, not 20 to 30 times that. And im no pro like i am in this game.

So stop putting it all back to real life as this is nowhere close to real life. Not just the meter thing. As soon as i miss fairway the unrealism of this game shows very good. From the "fescue" i can hardly get the ball out here. In real life i could make it way longer than here and not just bump it forward a few yrds.

Your right on some things Eli.  like the fescue, and sand trap and rough shots are not like real golf. the 15/20 30/40 40/ 60 are all different on each green and not accurate,The wind is not accurate, but in real life the wind can change in a very short time. There are faults in the game and all of us have to deal with it. Make note`s on Your  golf shots. When You run into the same bad situation You have a reference on that particular hole.  Better clubs and balls do make some difference. and being accurate hitting the dinger  is very important and difficult because it is not consistent in speed and smoothness some time. All in all the game is still a good challenge and can be fun.

Yes you are right on that. But if I was here playing to get a low scoring average or winning tournaments I would have gone long time ago. Lag is terrible too..

Im here to play nice courses that looks really good and to have fun even though the last thing is hard sometimes.

See?  You understand more than you thought you did.  WGT is here to make money.  We don't begrudge them that fact.  Spend more, get more, play better.  Simple capitalistic outlook.

And, as long as you play with the beginner sticks, your game is gonna be crap.  You say you have a 3.5 IRL... cool beans and I'm jealous, honestly. I'd give one of my kids to carry <5 index.  But you're right, I'm a rank amatuer on the links.  (I'd like to think I'd have graduated from "Hack" status by now.)

Now, let me ask you this....  Do you think you'd still have that 3.5 if you were playing with the discount clubs from KMart?

    Probably not.

I could surely get <10 with any clubs you give me, just they are the right lenght lol. Off course i know what you meen, the starterclubs are crappy, im no idiot. But im just saying it for the last time.. No matter how bad clubs you got you will still get a straight shot in real life if you hit it spot on with a good swing. So this realism you are talking about has nothing to do with it. Its not realistic at all just saying.
