  Never had 6 bogies in a row at St. Andrews until I became a 'Legend'.  Haha, what a joke.  Instead of improving, I feel like I'm playing my first rounds.

  I told you in your St Andy's Metrics thread that you have to tighten up your game now that you are a legend.

  Yep.

  The Legend tier is where the rubber meets the road. If your tires are bald (sloppy game play, and a lack of attention to details that didn't factor nearly as much at lower tiers) you can't get any traction.

  The courses are longer because of the further from the hole tees, the VEM gets turned up a notch, and the greens are faster.  All of which magnify those parts of your play that need improvement.

  Expect a lot more as well.

  90% of your games are on St Andrews so when you move onto harder courses, you will look like a fish out of the water.

  You need to focus on your short game, too many bogeys from not getting up and down nor getting them close enough or having the prowess to putt them..

  Legend is a challenge, especially fro those who are not prepared or have not learned the skills.....Zio was spot on in that thread.

  Still, with good course management skills and a decent short game, it's not that difficult of a course, even at Legend tier. You just have to pick your spots and not get greedy by forcing a shot that's not there.
  
  For example, I just played the back 9. On the 17th hole, I had a headwind of 19-21 MPH. Even with a good drive, I had about 240 yards to the hole (back hole location).
  
  So, I used my 3 wood and put it to the left of the green. (I didn't even try to put it on the green because it was such a low percentage shot.) I was left with about 17 yards. I decided to use my 50-yard punch shot at just under 50% with full backspin. It left it right next to the hole for an auto-tap-in par.
  
  I took my par and went on to the 18th. Sure, I took birdie off the table. But I also effectively eliminated bogeys or worse.

  True.

  Alas, Road Hole is an extreme anyway. I once viewed a youtube report on it with a seasoned caddie. There they said that it's so hard because it should be a Par5 ;)

  +45 at Oakmont for 9 holes.  Please kick me out of 'Legend'.
