Below is are some emails with WGT in which I complained that my driver seems to be losing distance.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

    Thanks for your response but....

    1. The tee has no effect on drive distance only hole length assuming you hit the fairway

    2. I've always used the same basic free ball

    3. Wind is really the only mitigating factor in my case and I am basing my observations on lost distance on shots made under similar conditions.

So if you're telling me you have no declination algorithm I guess I have to assume I've gotten older and lost some club head speed and buying a new driver would not change anything.

Obviously I say that as a joke but the fact remains that maybe there is something in the software that you are unaware of (unless you wrote the code) that is causing this to happen to perhaps entice me to buy a new driver.

    Regards,

    B. Hansen

btw.. Don't get me wrong. I love the game.

    Dear Barry,

Thank you for your message. Your clubs' stats never change however the conditions surrounding your shots do, as well as what tee you are driving from. As you progress through different tiers, or if you are playing in higher coin room games, you will notice you are starting from more difficult tees and playing against more difficult course conditions.

Also, the balls you use may change the effectiveness of your club. Remember when trying out new balls to check the stats of the ball either in the proshop before you buy them, or in your inventory when equipping the item.

If you have any other questions, let us know.

    Sincerely,

When I first purchased my driver I was consistently hitting 300+ yard shots. Now I never hit anything over 300 with the exception of strong wind aided shots. Do you have a built in declination of effectiveness?

This email is a service from WGT.

Even if you ding every drive you hit using that driver the shot distance will vary based on many things: wind speed & direction, elevation change, landing spot (flat, upgrade, downgrade, fairway or rough).

Unless you are playing on a different account or just stretching the truth , that part of hitting 300 yard shots consistently is just a tad off . You have the L48+ R1 275 avg . distance Med/ High trajectory .You may get 290-295 yards with high winds which I doubt you play because otherwise 300 yards is out of your range especially with the rock . This will also depend on the course being played as well . So although you have a good driver its not that good if it were we all would be using it .

In the future you may want to better rethink your messages you send to C/S as you may say the wrong thing and wind up not playing at all .

Are you throwing them into the wind?  That's the only thing I think you could possibly be doing wrong...
