Everything plays different. Especially the lies and Cleveland wedges. Played a round the other day and I was 45 yards out with a 2-5% lie in the sand. I hit Cleveland level 80 64 wedge (60 yd) at 75%. Went 20 yards into the next beach. Of course I was pissed, so when I finished up I replayed the round. As luck would have it, I ended up in the same beach. Same 2-5% lie. Roughly the same yardage to pin. So this time I hit Cleveland level 76 56 wedge (100 yd) at 89%. Went 40 yards. It missed the second trap this time, but was nowhere near where it would have hit in a ranked round. In my (very little) experience, I've found that 20-25% lie in ranked rounds takes very little off the shot. Mostly seems to affect spin. But in CTTH rounds, 2-5% was playing like 50% or greater lie.

Please note that in regular ranked rounds you will not find 2-5% sand or rough. 2-5% is peculiar to ctth.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I never got an email that this post was approved. Anyway, I don't think I've ever seen anything less than 25-30% in ranked rounds. But for what little ctth I play, I've regularly seen 2-5% in sand and 10-15% in rough. I'm just wondering why 2-5% in ctth would play harder than 30-40% in ranked rounds. Why wouldn't the lies be consistent throughout the game?
