YankeeJim:
I see something in that card I'd like to ask you about, T. I always thought it was just me but how many times do you see every other hole the same like that? It happens a lot to me and I always wondered if there were other forces at work.
I happens to me a fair bit as well Jim. I have always regarded it as me being unable to make a birdie on the harder holes and taking my chances at the holes you really should be.
2 and 4 are difficult birdie holes. The 6th should be a birdie hole but is dependent on which side of the hole you leave your approach. The 8th is all about distance control, get that wrong and you leave yourself an unlikely putt for birdie.
It's the same on the back 9 at St Andrews. 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18 should be birdie holes.
