I'm considering buying a complete club set after using all STARTER equipment the past couple years. Is there any time or free rental period that might be advantageous to obtain the lowest price?

New club set description indicates set includes Driver, 3W, Hybrid 3W, as well as 3i-PW. Am I correct to assume that it is my option to upgrade this new PW, as well as my old SW,LW, & & putter at a later date if I wish?

Lastly, when viewing the specs on clubs regarding meter speed, does a larger (higher) number indicate that the swing meter moves faster or slower toward the center "ding" point?

To answer you 1st question - Yes but they are far and in between. I think the next one will be around Labor Day

#2- At you level and Tier, you may want to go with Driver, 3 Wood or Hybird,  an Iron Set which is 3- PW, and a Wedge Set  64, 60 and 56 degree.

#3- The higher the # of the meter speed the slower you meter travels to the DING.

There is lots of information on this subject if you use your SEARCH BOX.

PS: As much as you would like to trade out your PW, you can't:))

Three years ago they did a free rental weekend during The Open Championship. Maybe they will again this year since they didn't offer one during The US Open.

Whatever you do, make sure you go with High lofted clubs. The alternative is Med/High and those require a different mindset than the high lofted ones.

At your level you have 2 sets and both are good . The wedges and your putter you will need to upgrade as you wish . The pw is part of the club set so that you cant upgrade . The higher the number the slower the meter so a 3.5 meter is slower than a 3.0 meter . Both the L83+ G25 or the L90+ R15 both will take you to Legend tees and can be the last set you will ever buy .

Most players ditch their hybrid and go 3 wedges but thats up to you .But you will see that when your 3i goes 225 yrds no need for a hybrid with the same distance . Good luck with whatever choice you make but I would suggest the L 90+ R15 set over the G25 Pings .

The R15 will give you better stopping power tha the G25`s . A good ball is all you will need start with the L33 Cally ball to help you if you have a problem with the meter speed . Hope this helps .
