I joined wgt about 5 or so years ago then gave up and went on to something else, then a month ago I decided to start again as some of my family member were playing.

Then the other day my account is disabled, I asked why I have been banned and their reply was I have multiple accounts and that it was in breach of their T&C, who reads all that for a golf game ? I couldnt even remember my old user name or password, so I emailed the so called customer support ?? (Not much support) I told them all the users I knew about, kids ,wife and gave them their user names (kids stopped playing years ago) and what happens they disable my wife's account as well ! What's that about ?.

I have since  sent 4 to 5 emails asking for some clarification but have had no answer, I think their behaviour is a disgrace. Maybe they just wanted my 11'000 credits ! Real credits not those useless ones and I bought then as there's no chance of me winning any.

    All the best ex player

Aah, your problem is you didn't create a second account and win a load of credits in ready go's.  If you do that they turn a blind eye.  Apparently.

Seriously though, it really sucks, especially when you give them all the info you have and they then use your honesty to disable your wife's account.

What the hell is that about WGT?  Great way to keep customers loyal.

Yet you managed to create a new account to post this.

How did this get past the mods?

You physically bought 11K in credits with GBP when it's a worst ever time to use pounds? Why comes to mind.........Contact your credit card company and tell them to go viral if you really think it unjust.

Weird thing is, I'm not sure he did (the former) this username is not searchable.  No idea how it works but I reckon he's posting from the banned account.

Assuming the above is true then I find this I joined wgt about 5 or so years ago then gave up and went on to something else, then a month ago I decided to start again as some of my family member were playing.  hard to believe.

From your history it looks like this account was started on the 22nd July, in your first round you scored 32 in the weekly 9 hole single play.  If I'm wrong, and it was your first round in five years, then the last part of this  Maybe they just wanted my 11'000 credits ! Real credits not those useless ones and I bought then as there's no chance of me winning any. certainly wouldn't have been true.

I assume those credits were bought pre Brexit with the old account.  Before everything went pecs up  : (

I think this is probably an account set up just to post this and try to get some support.  It was only started in July so evidently a new one.

I do think WGT need to contact those who have different accounts on the same ip to try to find out whether they're legit or not.  Simply banning without any sort of investigation is draconian to say the least, damn right dictatorial would be more accurate.

And how is it that nobody on the staff ever seems to catch those amazingly talented new players raking in the credits on RG's and monthly wins?  Visiting the community spotlight now and then  would help too, at least half those that appear there are just begging for a good banning.

How hard can it be?  There's a line up in front of you with Hitler, Mussolini, Bin Laden, Gandhi and Pol Pot in it and yet, somehow, you point the finger at Gandhi.

I don't really see him as the innocent that you seem to.  The account here is the only one we know so lets focus on that and say he did as you say, set it up to get some support.

Why then did he play his first round in a weekly tournament with a credit prize and go on to play 20 rounds all of them in tournaments with credit prizes?

The first round, as I said was a 32, would have won a prize maybe only a handful of credits at that level but still.  Going by other cases this prize will not have been passed down.   So he's taken credits from others on a multi account, he's tried to take more but I'm not going to check to see if he won any.

Another thing is it takes a bit of believing that someone with the playing history described at the start of this could shoot a 32 with starter gear.

The reason I thought he may be posting from the banned account was a notorious multi posted stuff, including video's of himself from what appeared to be a banned account.  That was not on this thread but elsewhere, and he's not searchable now.

I agree wholeheartedly that there are more obvious multis that seem to be getting away with it.  In all fairness I can only think that's simply because they're better at it and wgt can't catch them.  They are all easy to see and must have been checked.  I'd reckon the op started this account and immediately shot good scores in tournaments so would have been looked at, and got caught as he's not as good a cheat as them.

From reading other stuff in the forum I thought they could tell if it was the same computer, not just IP.  So for example; if five accounts are logging on immediately after each other on the same computer the family are either forming a queue or it's a multi.  Bottom line is we don't know what evidence they have.

I'm trying to be nicer in the forums.  Called a lot of people a lot of names over the years......

This is a very good question and certainly shoots my theory down.

I think I'm just sick of seeing so many obvious scumbags creaming credits off innocent players while WGT seemingly stands back and does nothing at all about it. This seemed like a case of someone being banned for the wrong reasons and perhaps worth some support.

Maybe this is not the case though.

I'll go watch Baz Keep on YouTube instead  : )

You are right it's frustrating the clear cheats that are "winning" lots of credits are basically laughing at us all.

I stopped playing for years, when I came back I couldn't remember my user name so I created another one...when I hit the submit button I got a message that I already had an account with that email address under "fatdan"...

Now tell me again how hard it is to find out what your old user name was!
