  The past couple years I've clicked the swing meter "off center" an appropriate amount (vs. moving the aiming box & clicking meter "dead center") to aim my shots to the fairways & greens. Seems to work for me. Am wondering however what method the WGT "pros" use, & does using either method make a difference?

  I use an off ding method for certain putts. I am not sure but get the feeling that breaks are just a bit more exaggerated by doing this. On drives and fairway shots, when dealing with a crosswind, I try to hit just in front of the ding (L to R) or just after the ding (R to L) but I am always placing the cursor somewhere down course.

  A lot of us mis-ding to allow for wind.

  e.g. In a strong left to right crosswing, I would aim left and also hit before the ding.

  I also aim and mis-ding on putts with severe breaks.

  I'm not a great player but I know quite a few who are and they use the same method.

  I try to hit the ding on every type of shot because I feel that it allows for more rhythm. In strong crosswind I allow for an exaggerated aim that usually works. On putts I sometimes miss the ding and it goes right in, followed by a comment of "how'd that happen."
