    can anyone tell me why my 3 to 8 irons have lost all theeir distance ability - my 3 iron only hits 140 yds and is the same through to my 9 - thay have all lost distance

    If you are referring to your current setup, actually you are playing with the "Beginner" irons, not "Starter" irons.  You may have inadvertently switched without knowing it.  So you know, the "Beginner" 3 iron is only rated at 160 yards if struck correctly and under ideal conditions.  There is more info on " How to hit the Ball" over there------>
