Usually less than an hour after you send the email to the new owner.

EDIT: I should say usually less than an hour if properly initiated. The owner through his owner tools selects a member and clicks the transfer ownership button, an email from WGT is then sent to the member receiving ownership. There is a link in that email to click that confirms and makes the transfer complete. If you are becoming the new owner, make sure you check your email, including spam folder for just such an email, and that you are checking your email that your WGT account corresponds to.

@twinponds169 I would say that there is no such email being sent at all, as I have tried several times to transfer ownership, by clicking on the name I want to transfer ownership to and clicking on the transfer bar.

There is an email AFAIK, but it doesn't come from the current owner.

    For him, it's only

    Shoahey:
clicking on the name I want to transfer ownership to and clicking on the transfer bar.

Next, the new man/woman should receive an email from WGT(!) with a link to click and confirm the transfer. I'd say that this should be "immediately" - see no reason for any delay.

It would be wise precaution to check if WGT mails arrive at the prospective new owner.

Long ago, I always thought that common disturbances in receiving mails from WGT were responsible for any delay or failure of this transfer, but now, there are so many new faults around that it may have another reason.

Anyway, only WGT might help here :(

search in the forum step by step. The one taking the position of new owner must quit country and then sign in and except the new roll of owner. If the old owner is staying in the club he must quit club and sent request to rejoin for all of the steps to go through.

The search showed up every step and it worked

I was a director in my CC. The owner remained as a member and transferred the ownership to me. I received an email from WGT saying that the ownership was being transferred to me and for me to reply to that WGT email to verify that I accepted ownership.

I did and almost instantly I was the owner. The previous owner did not have to quit and then join again, she just stayed on as a player / member.

Check your email for a message from WGT that they send to you and answer it. All very quick and simple.

The above post is correct. I have done this twice when i needed a break from the game, My Director took over the position while i remained a member/Director. When i was ready to takeover again we just did it again without any problems.
