  Here's the thing mate: Hitting a dinged shot doesn't necessarily equate to accuracy.

  While true, the point of having an auto-ding program or the ability to consistently hit the ding is it takes a variable out of the equation. That allows the user to more accurately predict the result because there's one fewer variables to contend with. In essence, one has taken a single aspect of the swing and changed it from a variable to a constant.
  
  Granted, there remain a number of variables with which to contend. Even so, the game has been made easier with the ability to consistently hit the ding.

  I'd like to see the evidence.

  Unless there is some algorithmic software that accurately discerns wind speed, elevation and distance, a dinged shot is only as good as the player's own shot selection.

  However, not all holes play by calculation, many are nuanced in regard distance a ball will carry, and wind effect.

  There is! All that your talking about is overwritten so it means nothing!

  I'm amazed some peops are still to discover these physics anomalies, even after years playing the game.

  The reason given was suspicion of meter cheating. Hard to imagine them being the same player. Both were the same tier, and both played thousands of ranked rounds.

  Must be some new algorithm that doesn't follow logic then? Hard to believe, math is math, it can't calculate for discrepancies. Perhaps a program for each individual hole?

  I know exactly where to aim every shot to stick it next to the pin. The trouble i have is i don't hit the ding. There's plenty out there who had the same problem. My guess is that they no longer have the problem.

  It's a shame that some have sank to such a low level that they need to cheat to be good at a "game"

  It's been done over and over.  WGT even have a Security Sweeps team that endeavor to look at dings...................If you have a "something" that effectively allows you to hit where you want it's a 10% or 20% digital increase in what a half useful player can do - HUGE.

  Other ways exist (magic 7 irons)......

  And you're calc for wind speed/ball spin/ distance matrix never changes? And that's not taking into account the nuances many holes possess. Oh please.

  To err slightly against the breeze or slope is a good thing, don't tell anybody this secret.

  What I'm saying is that ding cheats are still cheats, and should be found out and dealt with. However, unless they're a skilled player, then an abnormal or suspect ding rate isn't going make a great amount of difference.
