Here's the thing mate: Hitting a dinged shot doesn't necessarily equate to accuracy.
There are many factors to consider to make a good approach shot.
A dinged swing or putt is only as good as one's calculation, and estimation.

I'd like to see the evidence.
Unless there is some algorithmic software that accurately discerns wind speed, elevation and distance, a dinged shot is only as good as the player's own shot selection.
However, not all holes play by calculation, many are nuanced in regard distance a ball will carry, and wind effect.
