Very interesting views on how to get it done. For me it's all about peripheral vision, pretty much what Steven is doing by breaking the line into 2 sections. Combined with what Sting pointed out about the angle of your view, you can fix dingage problems just by moving either yourself or your monitor. Not a lot, just enough to alter your vision angle. It affects this peripheral vision and more times than not makes a difference.

Heh-FWIW, you have to be in somewhat of a calm state of mind. The total frustration after a bunch of wtf moments on top of dingage deficiencies might have you in a non-fixable state of mind.  Resort to the bottle or can then.  :-D

i personnaly put every thing at 90 degree angle, reason being i can then extend my legs fully out lol...crazy as it sounds, i believe i am more relaxed when legs are fully extended

Steve having your legs extended isn't as crazy as it sounds. I wasn't working for a period of 6 months and I played this game to death during that period. My pc is kept in a walk in cupboard, probably about 6 feet x 10 feet in size. There's a bit of clutter in there as well and as a result I was sitting cross legged at an angle to the pc. Rather embarrassingly I kept getting a swelling in my lower left leg as a result of the weight of my right leg resting on it for hours at a time, lol. In the end I had to go to the doc fearing a dvt. He told me to get a f*ckin job or a dog to walk and to sort out my sitting position, lol.

I was too scared of the possible ridicule to show him my permanently indented pinkie, lol. I did go out and get some different office furniture and since then I have been able to sit square to my pc with my legs extended. No swollen leg as a result :^)

ps I did get a job as well, worst luck...

All of these are really good suggestions, and I've used nearly all of them at some point.  I believe that the sitting position is important from a comfort standpoint.  There are times when I'm "In the Zone" and it's usually when I'm at home vs a hotel (I work on the road).

Secondly, if I'm having a poor round, I will move to the intentional ding miss strategy...but I don't start out that way.  I also bring my cursor down to the bar after I release it, not sure if anyone else does that.

    Good luck,

    -Long

You would be surprised what trouble  a little misalignment in regards to the ding bar will cause.

This is a very good point,   I too have noticed that I play better in different chairs/seats in my house.  Most likely due to the position it puts my body in.

The seat I play best from .........

As I said before, I bring the cursor down to the bar, and that helps me align my stopping point, and then there are other times where I let the swing meter go all the way through to time it, and finally, there are times where I miss the swing meter with intent, into the wind.  An example of all 3 are here:

totally agree with getting your body shape right...

This is how I play too. Except I have my feet up on the desk, kicked back in a reclined position. Forearm resting on desk. I watch the meter start to move and follow it until past half way to ding line then focus on ding line.

I ding about 3 out of 300 shots. lol Honestly I'm probably at 30% to 40% ding rate per 9 holes if you don't count putting. I will say that percentage is increasing with the Nike balls.

Here's something I've found myself doing that's pretty funny. Whenever I'm trying to get more out of an iron yardage wise, meaning if I think I'm gonna be short, I'm ALWAYS late. I actually push the mouse button harder trying to get more distance or something and end up being way late. And if I think I'm going to be a little long I seem to always click early. ?? The mind is strange.
